Spring was exploding at Descanso Gardens with Color, Fragrance, and the Beauty of Nature Everywhere.

This brand new and fabulous installation called Your (Un)natural Garden was so much fun to experience. The various sculptures were placed throughout the garden and served as a scavenger hunt, of sorts, for the kids.

The tulips were sublime.

Tulips and adorable kids...how can you go wrong with this combination?

The lilacs (one of my favorites) in all shades of purple and white too, were just coming into bloom and oh how sweet they smelled.

This is one of our favorite times of year at the gardens when the Clivia plants are in bloom. A spectacular sea of orange for as far as the eye can see.

All that was missing was Graham's book. He would have been content to sit on this bench under the canopy of branches, by himself, reading, for the remainder of the day.

Is it my imagination or are they getting really tall?

My little girl, always flashing her contagious smile and up for an adventure.

The azaleas were almost as ravishing as Catherine.

The gardens painted the door of the historic and magestic Boddy House, on the property, this eye-popping shade of pink in celebration of the home's reopening in a few weeks. The house, which we love to visit when we go, has been closed for over two years due to the pandemic. We can't wait to go in next time we visit.
