Garin opted for a science-themed party for his big thirteenth. This was a perfect choice for our math and science boy (or should I say young man). After the obligatory birthday portraits that mean mommy forces upon everyone, the celebration began. We were so full from our lunch out, they we opted not to have dinner and go straight to the cake. That meant an. extra big slice for everyone of Lemon Drip cake from Bristol Farms - one of our favorites and a delightful choice for a Spring birthday. We ended the evening by opening gifts and cards sent (so generously) by friends. It was a simple birthday (much like last year), spent with family, but perfect for the times. Garin, god love him, is simple to please, so he was over-the-moon with the festivities.
