On Sunday Mommy showed me this New York Times craft article, It shows you how to weave your newspaper into a basket. I thought it sounded fun, so I made it today. This is the article:
Here are the steps to make it
First, take a page of your newspaper and cut a third of it. Then fold a third of that and use a glue stick to glue the newspaper and fold the other third on top of the first third. Glue that section and fold it in half.
This is what it should look like when it is done, Make 18 of these.
Weave the strips 6 by 6 like this. Lift up the sides and weave it into a basket using the extra six strips, as shown in this picture. Tuck the edges of the strip into the basket. Garin helped me with the hard parts.
