Valentine's Eve started with the most beautiful evening walk. We hiked to the highest point in Hidden Hills where we enjoyed a glorious sunset.
Valentine's Day morning started with a special treat for Fitzy. Doggy Spa Day. He looked glorious by the time we left. Catherine and I had fun too!
Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes for brunch, made mostly by one of my favorite sous chefs, Garin.
We took a long afternoon walk with Eva, who came for a socially-distanced, outdoor Valentine's Day visit. It was the perfect day to enjoy a walk and so special to spend time with a dear friend.
Dinner was Scrumptious Beef Stew with Buttered Egg Noodles. Perfect for a cool winter night.
My little Valentines!
Desserts: A chocolate cake from Bristol Farms that Catherine and I picked up this morning and delicious sugar cookies from SusieCakes, brought by Eva.
Garin and Miles enjoying their big boxes of chocolate from Mommy. Dessert #3. Why not?
Dessert #4: Homemade candy skewers sent by Godmother Tessa.
Handmade Valentine's Day cards from my cherubs.
We even managed to squeeze in two great movies, Penguin Bloom and The Fundamentals of Caring (thank you for the recommendations, Shelley)! We couldn't have asked for a lovelier day.
